It's a known fact everybody wants more money. We go to work to make money, we get a second job to earn more money, we buy lottery tickets to win more money, we invest what money we do have to make more money, we even day-dream of making more money. Some even resort to immoral or criminal means just to make more money. But whatever we do we all want more money and perhaps more importantly, what that money would bring.
For this review I went to Google AdWords keyword tool and typed in the following words:
· "Making money online". I Found that there are 450,000 searches per month using these same words. Then I typed in:
· "Ways to make money". And found 368,000 searches per month using these words. So I tried 1 more time and typed in:
· "Make money fast". And found 301,000 searches per month.
It is also a well known fact that where there is a market there will also be many products to try and satisfy that market. And hence the plethora of online gold mines promising get rich quick schemes. Most of us have seen or have even bought into these gold mines that promise to let you in on ways and means of making lots and lots of money with little or no personal time and effort.
Don't get me wrong there are genuine people offering genuine products to help you make money online all I want to do is give you a balanced look at these online money making opportunities.
Like everything else research and right attitude is important. Research gives us a balanced, unbiased view of a product or service. I find when I'm buying a car or a television or anything else; I like to check it out online first. I check out its Specifications and then its pros and cons. I then check out reviews on the product and then make up my mind which product is best for me. I find I can do that with anything on sale in the market place.
My research into online money making opportunities has taught me several things:
o Attitudes and Expectations:
Forget the hype about making it rich overnight with fantastic, never before revealed tactics and strategies of the rich and famous. Like every other business, accept the fact that it is a process and it will take a lot of learning and growing as a business owner. Get rich quick schemes usually only result in quick disappointments.
o Get To Know The Product:
You can't just buy a real estate business and start selling houses, or a coffee shop and start selling coffee and expect to have customers lined up outside your door. It is going to take time to learn the basics of the business and to learn about your product. With online marketing and affiliate selling you have to learn about having a good website, how to find what customers are looking for, what their needs are and promoting good products that answers their needs and so many other topics that are too numerous to mention here. Get to know the business.
o Mentors:
I believe the greatest pitfall is trying to build an online business on your own.
A good effective mentor is invaluable. He/she will hold your hand and guide you on the best path which is exactly what you need when you first start off.
A good mentor is someone who will lead by example, has experience in your field and be willing to share their knowledge and expertise with you. Look for mentors who have a genuine interest in your success, who have integrity and a good reputation. Look for mentors who build you up and believe in you and create opportunities and open doors to help you succeed.
o Which Niche Market:
There is a lot of talk about this topic some insist on getting into a niche that is completely unfamiliar to you, while others say stay with the things you know the most about. The bottom line is if a niche doesn't have an audience then it doesn't matter how much you know about it, you will not be helping anyone and not be making money. If there is no market for it, there is no need for your product or service. You can be an expert camel trader but if no one needs camels you don't have a business. Simple.
And again this is where you have to expect that you will need to learn about products that are in demand and which to promote and what they do and how they meet your customer's needs.
o Fear and Procrastination:
So many people get excited and caught up in the hype but few actually act on the information they have. I believe there are many reasons for this. Some may think all online opportunities are just a scam to rob you of your hard earned money. Some may even be afraid of money, after all we have all heard it said that money is the root of all evil. And then there are those who just procrastinate and can't make a decision.
But a great man once said, "The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again but expect different results."
I'm not advocating everyone should get into online marketing all I'm saying is try something different, get out of your comfort zone and not just look into ways of making money but act on the information and opportunities that come your way.
